:pixelfed: Admins may see one of these banners if they run an outdated instance.
- Only shown to admins
- Update check failed error can be disabled (indicates config issue)
- Admins can't hide the New Update Available banner until they update

Another great idea that Mastodon uses is to email all admins about security fixes. They don't send thousands of emails from some central location. Each mastodon instance sends mail to its own admin address.
