One of the biggest life lessons I learned.... motivation never comes first. Action leads to motivation, not the other way around. The company I am CTO at is hiring for #NixOS experts. IF there are any out there looking for a job (100% remote doesnt matter where you are), let me know!  @freemo

 @freemo I'll take you up on that interview. Today / weekend is ideal if you let me know approximately what time slot you're looking at. Never attribute to malaice that which can be attributed to stupidity. Best lesson you can ever learn, especially if you take things personally.  Just a reminder, if you smoke regularly... The end of your life will you be slowly suffocating for several years as you hallucinate from lack of oxygen grasping for breath. I've witnessed it and it is a horrible way to die. Keep your lungs clean folks, trust me. @freemo Yeah, and the vaping is even more dangerous because of how much "healthier" it seems. I'm in my mid thirties and already starting to struggle to get enough oxygen, even though I quit more than five years ago.  My best life advice:... Figure out that thing that scares you to death, and dont just face it, conquer it, destroy it. Then when you finish, find the next greatest thing you fear. Its remarkably freeing to have things that used to be fears for me being source of joy (SCUBA, heights, and at a young age, talking to women and even just people would all fit the bill). Since that last tweak our Queue has went from 1.2 million backlog down to 0.9 million and continues to decrease. We are also setting up a mechanism that should allow me to speed up the process further soon, but either way for now we are still on track to be back to caught up soon. At that point hopefully all functionality will be restored (I found a few issues and fixed them). Edit: Actually looks like addons aren't the issue, disable all, still not working. (Not a networking issue, works on whatever the default LineageOsSbrowser is.) @freemo I want to create a factually accurate RPG. It would still be filled with wizards, its just that their magic doesnt actually do anything but they are all too stupid to realize magic isnt real. So your fighters are left to fight all the battles alone while the wizards pretend to cast spells but are completely useless. #Ozempic / #Semiglutide is a bit of an odd expiernce for me. I figure this is how normal people feel now... very alien compared to my normal relationship with hunger and cravings. New idea: communist casinos. When you leave if you win you have to split everything you won with all the people who loose. Good news for #QOTO. We are now being funded by some donated resources, both money and developers. We will essentially have a full-time server administrator and a part-time developer to advance the QOTO software. They will be starting January 1st. This should allow us to start adopting many of the features we have wanted to bring in that people have been requesting. Just a reminder, it is perfectly ok to ridicule or insult an idea, just dont do it to people. But also the flip side to that, be ok with your ideas being mocked, but expect personal respect. I run into this often, people think im rude cause I will call an idea idiotic and they say "ad hominem is weak, you just called me an idiot" to which I will often reply "No I didnt, I only pointed out you said an idiotic thing, I am sure you have some things to say that arent idiotic too"  @freemo right? I often think, "No, I wasn't calling YOU an idiot, I was saying you're ACTING like an idiot. And, in fact, I think you're better than that, so you might want to change course." When an actual idiot has idiotic ideas, well, there's not much point calling them out on it. It's almost a positive thing to point out that someone's ideas are idiotic, as that suggests maybe they'll be smart enough to understand why. My birthday is in 4 days. In case anyway was wondering I wear a size 5.56 NATO. @freemo @freemo Hmm... I think that's a bit out of my price range. Didn't know they made NATO in different sizes though.
