This act, while saying it's to ban TikTok, would give the US gov the power to: Remove and ban any online service they deem "a security risk" without public explanation, force Americans to hand over *any* private data for gathering that the government requests, prevent you from speaking out about this should it happen to you, and prevent you from using a VPN to protect yourself. Penalties include a fine up to $1m and 20 years in prison.
