RFF is entering maintenance/sunset mode. We've helped empower, amplify and motivate the music community within the Fediverse by celebrating artist consent and agency, direct support, and promoting quality sounds. If you've participated along the way, you can be proud of the gauntlet we've thrown down for community and vibes and the discovery, collaboration and support fomented. We'll accept music submissions until mid-Dec and the station will power down in Jan 2025. 1/ We often see folk new to fedi or otherwise saying something like, "I'm all good for doom and sh*t posts, now where is the music and independent artists?!" Well fedi, we got you. You have all been amazing supporting one another let's keep the awesome connections forming. Sure you can listen to the stream and discover, sure you can follow us here for various highlights, sure we have the running contributor list on the website with public fedi links for nearly every contributor, and now... 1/3 @radiofreefedi - your feed got me through dinner prep, laundry, taxes round 2, and bonus gingerbread baking. What the Heck is Going On? This weeks Artist Spotlight interview segment premieres shortly at ~13 past the hour and will play every other hour for the weekend. Join us as we chat with Circuit Static @cosmality dice.camp about their brand new album available now "Electric Sheep", TTRPGs and cartoon heroes. I love Radio Free Fedi and listen to it quite a bit because of the variety of music. I have discovered several artists that I enjoy that I probably would not have stumbled across otherwise. You all are doing the music scene a lot of good. Keep up the awesome work! I love the idea of a radio station fueled by folks in the fediverse. Definitely will spend some time tuned and check it out. Please see the site for all artist info and station info. If we have missed or mistaken any data in our initial seeding of the station please reach out. Likewise, we are hoping to promote artists with a fedi presence that are good fedizens, if we are promoting anyone with any untoward fediquette we have missed as it is hard to deep screen web presence, also please reach out. Lets normalise promoting fedi artists AND respecting consent and agency.
