@gamingonlinux I believe this is the plan from epic game to make Linux/decks look bad and I'll try to pull a Linux it's full of hacker excuse

This makes no sense because valves can be in a big trouble if the game is saying it's verified or playable but it banning deck users for no reason

@gamingonlinux loving that github reports have become the steam forum with name calling and insulting.

@gamingonlinux At the end of your article you italicized that "have no issue with Steam Deck". You're referring to yourself correct? I just wanted to double check. Great article by the way.

Iโ€™m aware of the report of some Linux/Steam Deck players seeing a ban on Apex Legends. From what Iโ€™ve seen itโ€™s a tiny tiny tiny amount of people and not as of yet some big thing. Will keep an eye on it but itโ€™s not seemingly a major thing just yet.

@gamingonlinux once again, this is why community servers are important

@gamingonlinux I think I saw someone on the GitHub repo for Proton reply to the issue with their command line arguments including DXVK_ASYNC=1. That would probably do it. Itโ€™s always been advised to not use that on games with anti-cheat. That and itโ€™s not included with Valveโ€™s Proton and itโ€™s only in older versions of GE-Proton. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

@gamingonlinux As always, your honest and skilled reports/works are appreciated.

There's a reason y'all are my number one source for Linux Gaming.

Genuine, kindhearted and just all-around great work. Much love!

@gamingonlinux I'm assuming this is using the camera system on the front of the HMD, correct? Does that mean this won't work in Linux for the Valve Index, because SteamVR on Linux doesn't work with the cameras on the Index? :c

@gamingonlinux Hope to see Quest 2 support and perhaps Kinect support too!

I wonder how "moddable" this game can be (like for example via the rules.ini file)

That would open so many opportunities for expansion! #OpenRA

@gamingonlinux I just played this a month or so ago and was pleasantly surprised. I quite liked the meta comics angle it had, kind of like comix zone, plus it's a more than competent rogue-like.
