@gamingonlinux HaHa 😂 that's my wife. Her gaming hobby ended on the NES. She likes Hallmark romances so I always attempt to at least sit in while I play FF8 or FFX. There are some moments that seem like a cheesy romance story.

@gamingonlinux Worth shouting out regarding the Ally that ASUS is a surprisingly well established smartphone manufacturer. It's debatable how sustainable that segment is these days, especially on their gaming phone brand, but when it comes to sourcing a 1080p 120Hz display they are in very familiar territory.

Prices on those phones range from 500 to 1200USD these days, for reference.

@gamingonlinux i like to use ublacklist for this it does the same with an much easier config. Simple globs in a text file are all it needs.

@gamingonlinux Weird, I thought China was developing their own Linux distro (Deepin) to get their people off of Windows due to the "western influence" of Microsoft's OS.

@gamingonlinux its not a good idea. The performance drop on windows 11 vs linux is very high. I was getting solid 60FPS on overwatch on linux, used windows 11 for about 20 hours, got 24FPS when playing on windows 11. 100% not worth it to exist and they know it. It would just show how bloated their OS is.

@gamingonlinux sooo a dumb question… I know it is documented to dual boot (safely from a high capacity micro card)… based on these comments, is it worth it? Other than battery drain, I still want to do it.

Do I play a ton of Game Pass on PC in general? No. Do I like options? Yes. Do I like Game Pass over Cloud? No. Finally, do I like portable options? Heck yes.

Generally speaking, Nvidia has been caught red handed, multiple times fleecing their customers. Why would people continue to give them money?

For Linux users specifically, Nvidia has shown their contempt for Linux users by refusing to play nice with the Linux kernel.

I get that they're the king of the ring for performance right now. But AMD cards are plenty powerful, as well.

I don't know, i just type 'sftp://deck@steamdeck' into Dolphin and I can transfer all kinds of files. Once ssh is set up, pretty easy.
