Just a reminder every single one of our article tags has an RSS feed you can follow.

For example: gamingonlinux.com/articles/cat - look for the RSS icon.

@gamingonlinux I just finished a python script parsing RSS and sending it to a LED matrix running pixelit on a micro controller. I'll try to improve my code and then release it as open source.

@gamingonlinux I have been playing this game for a very long time. I love it dearly, but i feel i have to mention that if you're on linux, the amd graphics performance has been very poor. I have to test if that still is the case.

It's not the best time. There are only 34 native linux games, but the hardship lies elsewhere.

There are no images available currently on #itchio to preview the game, only videos showing how it might look. Anyway, a document or video containing the images/gameplay from other sources could help to make it more desirable than 100 imageless games.

I'd always go with Gulikit and their controllers. They use hall effect sensors for their triggers AND analogue sticks. Should be indestructible (in theory). They also support Windows, Linux and Switch. Nice!

MrScopi

@gamingonlinux oh how I wish 8bitdo allowed the back triggers to be addressed as their own buttons and not just clones of other functions. Last thing I want from my Pro 2's.

@gamingonlinux Is the dongle required? Can this be paired over Bluetooth?

@gamingonlinux Another day, another company I will no longer (and in this case never will) support. I didn't play Roblox, but that's the nail in the coffin for me.

GL513

@gamingonlinux this is very odd. I'm not even a gamer. They practically have 3rd party developers doing the hard work for them to make this game work on Linux all for free! I don't understand why anyone would intentionally shut them out, especially with the Steamdeck and various other handhelds and the Linux desktop in general becoming more popular as a result.

@gamingonlinux donโ€™t you dare tempt me! ๐Ÿ˜†

@gamingonlinux no longer available in the UK. They were only sold via EE for some unknown reason and now there is no mention of them anywhere. Even de link from Nreal's website gets a 404

@gamingonlinux I'm on gnome 44.1 (wayland) with a 125% scaling an Steam Beta doesn't scale, even worse some elements aren't selectable with the mouse...

@gamingonlinux Did you reach out to the project maintainers to get permission and more information before writing this article? Their contact info is fairly public, so it couldn't be too hard.

Otherwise this is a cool project and I plan on trying it sometime

@gamingonlinux
Talking about different launchers does anyone know how to get the ubisoft launcher to work... I mean it loads up but it doesn't want to connect...

Thanks in advance ๐Ÿ˜Š

Liam @ GamingOnLinux ๐Ÿง๐ŸŽฎ

Done a major back-end change, which should result in the website being quicker overall and help deal with high loads. Some downtime yesterday was a possible DDoS, host and Cloudflare looking into it.

Asked for help on something, someone came along to tell me the problem is between the keyboard and the chair (me).

Instant block. Sorry but I really don't have time to deal with people being a nuisance when I ask for legit help on something. It's annoying notification spam. Please don't be that person.

@gamingonlinux I think the problem here was between that guy's computer and chair.

Emory

@gamingonlinux i have very little patience for "technology professionals" that think the answer to everything is a new computer and then dunks on people for not knowing how the fuck this new computer is supposed to enrich their life or do better work. i have a whole thing about it that i talk about in my workshops when something isn't working right and i need to pad for time a bit ๐Ÿ˜‚

Serves as a good reminder: just because I am here, doesn't mean I want to be followed by everyone. I just want to share cool stuff here, occasionally ask for help etc. I will mute and block as I see fit to help stay sane.

There's lots of ways to follow GOL news like RSS, Telegram etc.

Anyone here good with #kdenlive?

Exporting a video, rescaled to a higher res, seems to not have the correct position for a video when using the position and zoom effect.

Benjamin

@gamingonlinux Are you on the latest version? Does it work if you put the video in a nested sequence first?*

*The higher res video I mean not the whole sequence.

SergioLoffredo

@gamingonlinux I've seen that happening when I set the viewport to a lower preview resolution.

DELETED

@gamingonlinux Can you show me the problem? Maybe I can help! In what resolution did you record the video?
