@gamingonlinux It's really disappointing how easily Nintendo can bully these groups into submission. Maybe not surprising in this specific instance, but I'm hoping this doesn't scare off people in the future.

@gamingonlinux it's really a shame, I know that Nintendo fan base is too big, but it's really really disappointing

This company just doesn't love its fans

@gamingonlinux these are bad news, very bad news, the fact that Nintendo won the case, it means that no one is safe

@gamingonlinux lmao imagine your case being so bad that you decide to settle with Nintendo over *emulation*. How bad did you have to shit the bed to lose a case that uncountable others have *won*?

@gamingonlinux That's not bad at all :D I was kind of giving up hope looking at the steam survey numbers, but i guess we can conclude that the majority of linux users just aren't gamers? I guess that makes sense, even though that might change with linux handheld getting so good. Finally some good news.

@gamingonlinux I do wonder if these bumps can ever be explained away. It could be some random news article over there describing how to bypass the great wall with a new VPN or a new game with insane popularity, or a popular game which added a server in China. Who knows!? I find this stuff fascinating! :D

@gamingonlinux Doesn't getting your game rated cost a bunch of money? Asinine nanny-state move indicitive of a country with policy designed to spin wheels while going nowhere.

@gamingonlinux
Well, we have content rating since 1994 in Germany.
The system has changed several times since then.
Wolkenstein 3D for example got his rating 30 years after release.
In the 90s you only were able to buy it under the table.

Compare to the policies from Korean government backed by some voters: The Korean government says their department rate all the games released in Korea unless it's for a religious cause, public welfare, or is in test period; They rate games and the content changes for a "cost" -- They will decide whether a game patch would require another costly rating session. and the cost is not small for a small firm like a small startup company.
