Here is a little teaser for upcoming release of my updated #ferbajam works. A little part of the one of revisited tracks, that I am working on right now.
I decided that everything will be done with #sunvox (using #Orca of course), so I guess I will redo my #puredata entry in sunvox too.
For now, to be honest, I'm not sure I can finish the whole release by the end of March, because, as always, I wanted to fix some things quickly and ended up making things more complicated. But I'll do my best.
Okay, I'd like to give a little speech as my #febrajam is really over now. It actually changed a lot, I think I really want to do music again, thanks to people who listened, reposted and commented, also thanks to awesome software I used, like Orca, SunVox, puredata, Cardinal and others.
The boosts is what kept me going in the beginning, because it's much easier, as always, to quit when no one is watching and there are no witnesses.
Now I'm very much motivated to continue creating.
I revisited my final #febrajam entry, now I like it way more, it is now a little longer, more interesting, I added some more melodies and changed some sounds.
I think now it's the most compositionally complex and the longest automated track I've done in #orca. It can look (and sound) much cleaner - there is a lot of ways to optimize it, but it is a work for another day.
Done with #sunvox of course.

#febrajam #27
Had a few beers this evening, so I'm not responsible for anything. #music is made with #orca and #sunvox as always.
Quite simple one, but consider my condition! Plus I'm preparing for tomorrow - the last febrajam - i'll try my best.
#febrajam #25
Not the best one, but I think I got a really good melody in the second half. #orca with #sunvox again, yeaah.
For some reason uxn version of orca had an unsteady tempo with this track, I guess because of cpu load.
#febrajam #22
Another day, another monstosity in #orca. #uxn version again.
This time a "sequencer" is quite big, it even resembles a map of the Earth, haha. I almost found a perfect way of automating orca, but I have something slightly different in mind for next time.
White #sunvox looks beautiful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZFIUbYfpKI
#febrajam #19 #uxn#orca with #sunvox again.
Tried one more way of automating everything, actually I like that one more than others, I think.
Today I decided to recreate in orca a track I wrote when I was a teenager - like, I don't know, maybe I was 13-14 years old.
I didn't really succeed, for some reason I couldn't fully recreate the same sounds and moods, I'll try again sometime.
By the way I'm sorry, I only realised what it looks like at the very end, haha. I hope it is not too obvious.
#febrajam #17
Back to #orca with #sunvox again (my brain is not working right for puredata today). File is too big for my instance, so it is on youtube.
This time I used #uxn version of orca and again tried to automate it. But it has smaller working area than C version, so I did it differently and almost succeeded. I feel wrong for doing it, haha, as if I'm breaking the rules. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmAQFKKVvYE
@neauoire I did a terrible thing - I made this monstrosity so #orca would play this track itself and I didn't have to suffer trying to turn everything on and off in time myself (It was even worse, I shortened it). #febrajam #16, this time I finally tried out #plugdata - a beautiful #puredata wrapper. I struggled to remember how the puredata works, but it all worked out in the end.
Last year most of the time I used #orca from @neauoire with #sunvox and later with #puredata.
It's all very very interesting. And it looks so cool, like if you make music with these things, you have to show what it looks like on video, so it's like another level of openness, the process of creation itself is open. Although my way of doing things in puredata was horrible (read: shitcode) and I tried to make sunvox out of it, so my old lovely laptop couldn't handle it.
@vacuumbeef 🤩 🤯 this sounds so good!!!
@vacuumbeef holy crap, I'm so excited for this
