Since @taylorlorenz is now out here attacking, misquoting, deadnaming and dishonoring dead transchildren on her next clout chase to fame, it’s time to get into the predatory and delusional behavior across Clubhouse and Twitter that got her FIRED from NYT. I was there. I saw it first hand. She tried it with me. It failed. So now it’s time to tell the story.

Because what you WONT do is attack and disrespect #nexbenedict and not have me stand on business with this btch.

@ErickaSimone I knew that there was a familiarity there, didn't realize that's where it was from.

Clubhouse exposed me to some really awesome polyglots, but it also showed me a friend doing the hustle shit. I remember those rooms. The vibes were so predatory. Some of the cringiest industry chasing types flocked to it. And crypto bros and "life coaches.

I’m actually fking sick at what the internet has become. 1994 Ericka sitting in STEM summer camp @ UCLA thought it was going to be one massive power library where I could find all the music in the world and make my life better. Or that’s exactly what it was. For me.

2024 Ericka is now witnessing White males, hegemonic classes, facists and nazis leading the full #enshittification of the internet, and earth in general. Decimating a wonderful, life changing resource. Because racism and capitalism.

So I am currently trying to get the legendary, world renowned Chi Chi Izundu from #BBC #journalism to join us over on #mastodon. Her work has been revolutionary; her exposure of #TimWestwood to protect women is powerful. I keep hearing people mention wanting more quality #journalist + news sites. Welp, maybe if we can convince Chi, we can convince the rest of them.

So. Let Chi know. Should she come to Mastodon? Boost this one for visibility and possibilities.

#Mastodon is really giving me hope that maybe, just maybe, I can build a meaningful music community. Again. For like the 27th year. lol.

Open source radio. Decentralized music sharing/streaming. People building their own radio shows. I can do this. I hope you guys will help me along the way.

I would love to do this - the radio show. Have thought about it for years. Never managed to get my act together and the barriers to entry were/are high.

@ErickaSimone not it exactly, but HearThis .at and mixcloud .com are kind of close. it's just radio shows put together by volunteers. not sure how hearthis does it, but mixcloud keeps saying they have contracts with labels to make sure artists get paid. so it's like an online archive of college radio shows. (self promotion: I'm at hearthis.at/trinib/ )
