A sine wave is revolved around the origin of a grid in 3d space (probably not actually how it's constructed, based on the formula, but echh maybe you can visualise this description better. Cbs) The resulting ripples emanating from the origin are coloured in a blue to red gradient, proportional to height of the wave.

The wave is seen at an angle. A dog is licking the origin point. The subtitles include the formula used to derive the construct, and "schlop schlop schlop schlop... schlop schlop"
