The thread on SA for Ray McCormack sinking that boat, is now nearly 300 pages long. @neauoire I read it when it was at like 50 pages. Great counter examples of how to act like a responsible human and exercise great seamanship. 14 days without doing any programming, it's been so nice, I feel like I might be over the hump, I'm finally just using the things I've built without having to change them in any way. I hope the streak holds. @neauoire you inspire me a lot, learning and experimenting to get my own little computing environment! @neauoire that coincides almost exactly with how long I've been programming obsessively, lately I wish people would stop sending me their twitter links, nitter is dead.  @neauoire I'll second https://twiiit.com, it auto-selects for you a *currently* available and working Nitter instance. @neauoire I'm def one of the folks that stood at the edge of this, then backed off — very much at the cost of cost of social media visibility and sales. I'm lucky to have a partner that supports my work, otherwise I'd be forced into making TikToks and plastering my face everywhere. Same shit, different time. People start making content thinking it's not work. You can't escape work if a system is designed to make you work, in such a system, the only other options are quitting, or exploit someone else in the process. @neauoire reminds me when I applied for a publisher, to write a book. I didn't know why in that form there were sections to provide my profile links of various social networks. But after I was rejected, it clicked. In today's industry, having a number of followers, can even be a requirement, a really important one if you are in the art making industry.

Gave Sara's Skate, a bit of a gabber punch. Started staining the pine shelves with instant coffee. You can see the difference in color after a single pass of coffee stain. New pantry is complete. I forgot how thin it sounded, even the remastered edition, so I remastered it yet again from the original n64 version to sound like how I remembered it. Here's The Swarm's iconic "Dead System", but a sort of a nostalgic remaster. |
