We've nearly completed every single projects we had on our Alaska sail pre-departure TODO list, a month a head of time, what the hell is going on-

@neauoire Sounds like there is enough time for huge catastrophe which eats all the slack!

The Tak function, was invented by Ikuo Takeuchi of the Electrical Communication Laboratory of Nippon Telephone and Telegraph, for the purpose of comparing the speeds of LISP systems.

The amount of recursion performed by this algorithm is significant, in fact it was described in one books as “a recursive algorithm with cubic explosion”.

@neauoire I promise I'll read this but fuck I had to first give a Golden Turd Of UX award for Excellence In Dark Patterns for this to Wordpress:
"One last thing, our partners may process some of your data based on legitimate interests instead of consent but you can object to that by choosing "Learn More" and then disabling the Legitimate Interests toggle under any listed Purpose or Partner."

Both a violation of GDPR as far as I know and also just a shady fucking move.

Implemented Varvara's system device to Uxn5, it can now almost play Oquonie, there's still a little screen clearing issue, but it is otherwise entirely playable.

@neauoire i love it. Such beautiful graphics. Do you plan to publish this one for #playdate? 🔶

@remko I was wondering about something, is there something in the uxn wasm core that prevents loading roms larger than 0x10000?

Remko Tronçon

@neauoire Yeah, that's where the stacks are. The docs said that the working memory was 64kb, so that's all I allocated, and the stacks immediately follow. Can be adjusted of course.

Reading releases from oceanographers is making me consider whether living on the ocean was such a good idea at a time when the ocean is this pissed off.

@thomasorus what's the name of that painter who's works is mostly bold black strokes and red accents sometimes. I forgot his name and it's driving me crazy-

@neauoire @lobo This is so fascinating! What is the programming language? I've never seen a .tal file! Is this it?

I wonder, what would quantum celular automata look like?

A concatenative language differs from the functional programming language paradigm where terms correspond to values (including functions) and the fundamental operation is function application. In the Lambda calculus for example all terms correspond to values, function application, or function abstraction. However, in a catlang all terms correspond to functions on a tuple, or the composition of functions (which yields a new function, so is really a function).

@neauoire Once I saw the link out to Dr. Dobbs, I was wondering whether the author would be Christopher Diggins. :)

Looks like he's still doing interesting things around languages:

@neauoire So a catlang is a constrained functional language.
