So, Stanley Lieber didn't like my selection of patterns in Oekaki. I've made it so he can set his own by storing them in the theme file. It allows for some pretty cool customization.

We had such a nice sail up today and found a comfy little anchorage, aptly named Snug Cove. We're going to stay put for a bit while the northerly wind blows itself out, drop the dinghy, explore the coastline, stay far away from bears. Looking at AIS, it appears that we're the only sailboat in southeast Alaska taking advantage of this nice southerly wind today.

There is a rule in ecology called the maximum power principle formulated by Lokta in 1925. It can be summarized as follows: βThe systems that survive in competition are those that develop more power inflow and use it best to meet the needs of survival.β Stoked to finally be able to announce the 72hr Collapsathon, July 12-14, 2024. Please share widely, incl. off-platform! Listening to the latest Indira Paganotto(psytrance), painting a little finger tracing along the wall. WOO "Bob Flegal designed that font, and called it Cream at the time, because it was so smooth. It was an experiment to make a font with the minimum number of elements (a, c, d, g, etc. all have the same curve for instance). This turns out not to be a great idea for a workaday font, actually. We realized this after about a month. You would be looking at a browser and after a while your mind would sort of pop into neutral, waiting to recognize some words β they all just looked the same!" Oekaki is a small(4000 bytes) drawing program. Last night, I've found a way to optimize(code crimes) the line drawing implementation and added natural brush options to thin out the line based on stroke speed.

@neauoire Great work!!! Wish I could figure out something in MyPaint that would give me effects like Zen Brush. Lowkey working on maintaining my own wesbite, adding links to cool things, updating my portfolio, blogging, writing, tinkering. It doesn't get much traffic and it's fine--it's there for when I need it. @cabtastic This is one of my goals for this year as well. I would like to start working on this when I finish my current book. At the same time, I'm purging my Instagram account of most of my finished illustrations. No one will miss any of the art that was on there and frankly, Meta can go to hell a million times. Once the webring reaches 256 sites, I'll close down registration and reopen submissions as website go offline or leave the webring.

@neauoire i keep meaning to make a pr when i feel like my site is "ready", but its always a work in progress wonder if i can snipe number 256 lol @neauoire iβm having a hard time using the remote hosted svg webring icon to work with my dark-mode css on my site. (iβm stuffing my svg files in <object> and styling with a class). would it be a problem to host my own version of the icon, with the added class/stylesheet links? I could probably rework my styling approach though if the re-used asset part is important, but figured iβd check Glad the project lives. @neauoire Not yet, but it sounds like a lot more fun than just getting up to pee and deciding whether I should have corn dogs for breakfast. We're pinned in Ketchikan, strong winds and heavy rain everyday, we can really soak-in the meaning of "4 meters of rain a year" edit: That's 12 feets |
