@neauoire Nailed it! You know, I've long suspected his influence in your work, but couldn't put my finger on it!  @neauoire  Found a very annoying bug in Oekaki that only manifests itself when I really don't feel like fixing bugs. I see lots of folks building websites who go straight to adding build steps and markdown-to-html parsers to their website, half of those get stranded in toolchain hell in the process. Here's an alternative that's often overlooked: Make writing html comfortable, it'll delay the need for a complex build step. It might not work for all cases, but it might help a handful few.

 @neauoire how long have you been using this type of facility for your sites? seems like this would be quite specific to the current edition of left, but maybe i am mistaken :~  @neauoire this is the path I'm going through right now, cleaning up ugly markdown-generated files into simple HTML files to use as a source. It's so liberating.  @neauoire completely agree. You don't even need that help. Dammit, html is not black magic, and it's not a blocker/time sink. Write html/css/js manually and from scratch, for small-medium websites is more than enough. Templates for headers/footers/x? If you can program, a basic generator without dependencies will take you one morning/day, and it will be simple enough that won't add much maintenance penalty for the future. @bd Pulled your latest changes and Uxn playdate is segfaulting, I'd like to work on oquonie, I was wondering if you know what's causing this? Road to #strangeloop On the eve of the talk, I sit at a table half-awake before what is to become sleepless night number four, 2 hours in waiting for my first real meal since leaving Victoria to arrive, blatter is coming down hard on this very loud, and very understaffed, and only available vegetarian place within walking distance from the hotel. And, my voice is gone, I can't speak. It wasn't one big mistake that fucked me this time, it was a thousand little oversights or expectations. I normally am a really careful planner when it comes to giving these sorts of technical talks, you wouldn't catch me going out the night before. I had assumed that the train would either carry the one vegetarian meal on the menu, or accommodate. After a first day of eating cold bread loaves with margarine, an altercation with an uncompromising attendant on the second day, I managed to secure myself a "Steamed Russet Potato A-la Tomato Sauce", for the third day aboard. Now that StrangeLoop is behind me, I've got two very exciting projects to tackle, Oquonie Playdate, and drawtober. I think about this video of French rollerbladers from 1923 at least once every month.

@neauoire It's a shame that this footage has been colourised. I should restore it. I like that the behaviour is no different.  Slept for 14 hours, crawled out to steal some fruits from the gym, and returned into my pillow fort to eat them. |
