 For the past 2 days I've decided to replace the music player I use normally(cmus), with something custom that allows me to control it entirely with the pen tablet. It's coming along nicely, well at least it plays music and lists songs. just had this wave of realisation that there are 100s upon 100s of experimental niche programming langs, interfaces, operating systems, graphical toolkits, level editors, music trackers, etc that nor me or anyone on gur internet will ever see, bc theyre unpublished prototypes, sitting on peoples personal macines, often limitted, janky, poorly documented, etc. During our stay in Sointula, someone suggested I read Kristen Ghodsee's Everyday Utopia, it's too far back in the backlog now to find out again who recommended it but thank you whoever you are, I couldn't put it down! Excellent book for anyone who enjoyed The Dawn Of Everyday, or are interested in other ways to live. It's quite a bit different compared to last year when we had to sail to a camping ground to steal from fresh water at this time of the year. I tried to make something reminiscent of the ipod nano I had a while back.

@neauoire I’d love to have a skin like that for a music app on my iPhone. Maybe I’ll figure out how to make one.  the biggest thing I hope comes through specifically from the 70s part is the DIY energy, like mimeographed RPG materials. the best example i have to mind is not from the 70s, it's https://ritualdust.com/works/illustration/fantomes-zine-issue-1/

Folks aboard the sailboat Nanamuk gave us a map that says there's a lookout somewhere up there, we couldn't find it. Finalized the implementation of #uxn macros across the rest of the ecosystem, Left and Uxnfor should now handle them properly.  Finished! All it took was one sunny day! Whew! 4/4 pages. Gatta smile, smile, smile! For best viewing: I really like making these short comics, I’m especially happy that I can do most of the process on paper, it saves a lot of battery power, especially on overcast days. All parts of the process are fun(shading digitally was very tedious for me).  I've seen many banana slugs and pitch slugs, but never a totally white one. I don't think there are albino slugs? I'll call this one a spirit slug, like spirit bears. |
