@nixCraft There's a difference between getting sh*ts done and getting sh*ts done correctly @nixCraft You know it has been a rough week when you have to pull out the recovery USB for a second time

@nixCraft The terminal in the text editor wouldn't be so problematic if said text editor didn't run in a web browser.

That's neat :-) The TikZ package is quite powerful. I think I have been using \LaTeX for quite a few decades. I used to typeset The Journal of the Royal Society of NSW in it for many years. Was a lot more pleasant than using MS Word :-) I was chuffed when I made a LaTeX package for cave maps. It's my only one though: https://ctan.org/pkg/scalebar?lang=en Linux user: Overwriting your Windows partition https:// https://www.reddit.com/r/linuxmemes/comments/13c4s7o/overwriting_your_windows_partition/ @nixCraft My first attempt to install Linux, intent was to dual boot, was Red Hat 5.1 and I did exactly that. I got 5.2 installed properly a bit later. @nixCraft no need to wipe anything anymore https://mastodon.lilysthings.org/@i_lost_my_bagel/110234717748203769 :mind_blown:

@nixCraft เฒกโ อโ โ สโ โ เฒก @nixCraft Sounds to me like everyone is finally reducing everything they communicate down to a single bullet point without having to actually go through the motions of pomp and presentation. Win win. XD DoomLinux: A bash script to build a minimal Linux just to play Doom on boot https://github.com/shadlyd15/DoomLinux #Linux I saw a developer today. No company swag hoodie. He just sat there. He was typing code away in vim running on Arch Linux and an older ThinkPad, like a psychopath.

Reminds me of "you don't need mainframes when you have these powerful workstations and can run distributed loads" followed 15-20 years later by "buy this Sunfire E25K!" Oh god why do I think this comic was made by an Professional Services person or is this someone else in Sales? ๐ |
@nixCraft if you start the meeting by blasting all the useless people with a phaser at max output then the meeting will end up with everybody in agreement and it will be pretty productive.
@nixCraft
A meeting whose only agenda item is to schedule future meetings? Why sure! :eyeroll:
@nixCraft
Had I decided to be a manager I probably would have a pointless meeting to schedule.
Fortunately, having developed a disdain for pointless meetings, I chose a different career path.
