But the right way is to see an opportunity to have public conversations you can't have anywhere else online. We have to remember other users are real people, and what they say reflects a real sentiment in the world. You can either try to sweep it under the rug or embrace it.
Japan was so nice. No litter, no cars piled along the sidewalks, few homeless people, very organized, low crime. As soon as we landed back in Houston I saw a fake fingernail on the ground. And then the loudspeaker kept saying "Remember! You can't bring guns to the airport." over and over again while we waited two hours for our lost bags.
Many people who have watched clips from my Nostrasia talk are asking me how Nostr is pronounced. Officially, according to fiatjaf (Nostr's creator), any pronunciation is fine. However the most widely accepted form is "noss-ter", and rhymes with Nostrich (Nostr + Ostrich). Despite this, I refuse to pronounce it that way because I think it sounds bad.
