 Happy #caturday everyone. This is Rigby’s bartering service where he trades puffballs for treats. He will pick one out, often his favorite blue one, and proceed to announce his decision loudly as he carries it through the house to the office. The crying continues until he drops the puffball at which time he will tap my arm to alert me to the gift he has brought me. My role is to heap tons of praise on Rigby and reward him with a treat (or two). Happy #caturday everyone! Today I was treated to a visit from my neighbor’s cat George. He’s a sweety and always comes running when he sees me. There is something special about being accepted by a cat. Especially a cat who only receives affection from me. If I’m working in the garden, George is always there supervising. Happy #moggiemonday or #laborday whichever you observe. Today we cleaned the #catio and Jasper was having none of it. He is fearless so the vacuum has no authority over him. That spot will just have to remain dirty I guess. 😆 Why is it that cats were so often portrayed as villians while mice were portrayed as their innocent victims? As a kid, when I read Beatrix Potter’s book “Tailor of Gloucester”, I connected with Simpkin the cat who was left out in the snow on Christmas. Sure the mice might have fixed the mayors coat but they also probably pissed all over it, like they do, and probably gave the mayor typhus. 😆 #CatsOfMastodon #CatsOfFediverse #cats #catstodon #catsofthefediverse Happy #caturday evening and Black Cat appreciation day. Rigby is a big fan of Black Cat Appreciation Day but knows that around here, everyday is Rigby Appreciation Day. He’s a gorgeous, mischievous, busy body and I love him. I must say, one of the benefits of #retirement is the seven day #weekend. 😊 Who else is a proud, crazy childless cat dad for #KamalaHarris? 😊 Jasper, Rigby and Tigger approve this message. Here is Jasper modeling the latest in feline hosiery. #caturday. He is standing on my arm as his way of reminding me that it’s dinner time. Tigger is such a handsome boy. Here he is chilling on the guest room bed. He knows he’s not supposed to be on that bed but he believes that his cuteness gives him a free pass. He’s right. My mom quilted this for us shortly after we remodeled the kitchen. Rigby wasn’t sure what to think about it at first but then he saw the black cat silhouette and decided it was a fitting tribute to him. Tigger has had a load of fun chattering at the birbs on the catio. For him, everyday is caturday. Jasper: “Oh the misery!” Happy #caturday. Awhile back, I shared a photo of my neighbors gorgeous cat Bo. This is my neighbors other cat George. I don't think I've ever known a friendlier cat. He's always on hand to supervise whatever work is being done. #CatsOfMastodon The cool weather isn’t Jasper’s thing. He spends his mornings seeking out warm sunny spots. He found this spot up high. When he’s feeling particularly spunky he will hang his butt off of that rail and play with his tail between the balusters. If I can find a video of that I will share. #CatsOfMastodon #caturday 12
