I challenge any/all @drafts users to top my "dashboard" note's stats.

(something like 5mb+ of text just in the versions lol.)

((also... let's see Obsidian do that!!))

Confirmed if you share a FaceTime link with yourself you can indeed control your iPhone with your iPad - not anywhere as good as iPhone mirroring - but still nifty

Friends don't let friends go to Microsoft tech conferences.

@sjvn well Windows 11 is a better copy of KDE than Windows 10. The virtual desktop works almost as good as on *Ubuntu (or any other user oriented Linux version).

@sjvn I miss the #Microsoft MVP summit, it was such a great opportunity to meet with hundreds of people from all over the world, discuss, debate and interact with product teams at Microsoft. It was also fun being on campus and visiting the company store. Also, Microsoft MVP's are customer advocates, so, they share direct feedback about the product issues with the teams that work on them. Also, if you attend a conference like this, you are likely a fan of the product.

Substitoot is a free open source add-on for web browsers which automatically fetches complete Mastodon threads from the original server. This is useful if you think some replies are missing due to federation issues.

➡️ Substitoot for Firefox (also works on Firefox for Android): addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firef

➡️ Substitoot for Chrome: chromewebstore.google.com/deta

➡️ Substitoot's source code: github.com/virtulis/substitoot

Would be nice to know people's opinions and experiences about this add-on 🤔

@FediTips i've been using this since i saw this toot and it works great!

«however», it seems to basically disable user blocking. looking at the notes, this is a known issue. i was very confused that i was seeing multiple accounts i thought i'd blocked some time ago in replies and shrugged it off until I thought of disabling the extension and saw a return to expected behavior.

this makes it unusable for me and, i suspect, others.

once this is fixed, i'd love to reinstall the extension as well as fund it. this fixes many of the significant problems with the fedi.

thank you Fedi.Tips for mentioning it and the dev for making it, even if it never gets any further development, i really enjoyed my time with it.

what an incredibly good idea holy shit!!!

but... this seems to be the extent of the documentation? about this feature going on the public release channel?

cmon guys... at least give the journalists *one hyperlink* to reference lol.

so what Mr. Fuck and his colossal goon organization have accomplished up to this point with Threads is to have built ... the least usable Mastodon client on iOS.

@imyke @jsnell This is how LLMs work. First you have to trap the soul of a person in your laptop, then you close the lid.

@imyke @jsnell You mean all these weren’t run in a simple Google Spreasheet?

dearest @fedora has given my not-old-enough-to-just-sit-idle desktop tower a reason to live again.

...and absolutely REFUSES to break or complicate my life in any of the Linuxy ways I seem to be actively seeking. that secure boot thing? didn't even mention it.
