I refuse to engage with the Olympics any further until Active Listening is added as a competition. took me like two months but I finally found a single (trackball-equipped) mouse at an estate sale so I can use my personal computer again. this trend where documentation must be in any form *other than* just .... documentation is really wearing on me. as in - your docs site is just a Discourse installation (with the notable exception of micro.blog's imo) the worst, though, is when video content on YouTube is presented as the primary support resource. this is going to sound like an ad but - in 15+ years - I have yet to encounter a better digital journaling solution than DayOne + IFTTT if you want to comprehensively log what you're doing. seriously doubt any "ai"-powered "alternatives" will offer anything remotely comparable to this "setup" in the near future but I guess we'll see. just thinking about how much of auto enthusiasm - from an "outsider's" perspective, anyway - is just shouting random numbers at one another.
