One house that survived in Hawaii. All because the owner was paranoid - replaced the roof with steel, cut all the plants around the house also, all because he was afraid of the termites

@ZySoua It would have been funny if it wasn't so sad.

DELETED

#AltText Aerial view of a white-plastered, unscathed house on the coast. All the other houses in the area are nothing more, than soot-blackened ruins. To the right of the intact house is a car, also undamaged.

Either The Great Filter, or The Great Silence. I lean toward Great Silence, but see both as likely and plausible.

@ZySoua@mastodon.ml I'd go like this, in the order of likeliness:
The great silence: There is a good chance type III civilizations are simply not physically possible
Not life as we know it: I think we'd still catch radio signals anyway
The Gaian bottleneck: There has to be
some planet that could send a signal, not very plausible I'd say, although, there might be a point that intelligent species exhaust their resources fast and can't stay stable for long, maybe millions of years, missing us; but I would say they'd at least leave some trace
Early birds: Very likely, evolution took billions of years after all, and Earth actually had very good conditions for this
Therefore, I believe advanced life is just extremely rare (as the other theories suggest, just framed differently)

@ZySoua Neither. But I'd consider any of them. Theories aren't religions to believe in them. Every one of the listed here are worth contemplating until we get any evidence.

Just one question. What's the difference between the filter and the bottleneck ones? Aren't they the same thing?

I am browsing the files that were data-mined from the game and there are so many things that player shouldn't have in the inventory, BUT, you can add via commands. Like the Netherbrain crown and etc...

I have found the cutest animal in the Baldur's Gate 3, followed only by the owlbear cub itself - the Tressym. If you play as Gale you will soon find a Tressym named Tara in your camp, who speaks like an old lady, but is cute as hell

Just got to love how Larian is making fun of big game corporations by releasing massive patches two weeks after release. And as it seems there is nervous itching going on among companies like Blizzard and others. :blobcatgooglytrash:
