What does your small storage usage look like? Are you storing locally or using S3 buckets? How many GB/user?

I'm thinking of hosting an instance and limiting it to under 50 users. Just curious what others are using for their instance/storage needs.

@LeoBurr Pixelfed does optimize photos more than Mastodon on average, and we don't store remote media by default.

Pixelfed.art is using around 6GB of media storage for 250 users, and the server is about a year old.

It really depends on usage though.
