@bouncepaw I respect Java because the stdlib is very well thought out. I also like that I can create native machine code with Graal

The technical interview went great. The interviewer was nice. I hope I will beat the competition and get that job. The interviewer would be my mentor then. I'll be sent the feedback today or tomorrow. If all's good, I'll be invited to the final HR interview.

Can't wait to work for Leviathan! /s

Does your website have game controller support? No? Thought so.

One of the crossroads I go through en route to the dorm was updated with new assistive technology. Here's a translated transcript.

Streetlight: red.
Streetlight: green.
A voice out of somewhere: You can cross the Victory Avenue now. You can cross the Victory Avenue now.
Thousand birds: making high-frequency bird sounds.
Bouncepaw: started walking.
The voice: Finish the crossing. Finish the crossing.
The birds: slow tired sounds.
Bouncepaw: crossed the street.
Streetlight: red.

Chapter 2. A similar update was made on Khusain Mavlyutov street. However, the green phase is still too short and the red phase is still too long, so tens of people break the rules and cross the street wrong, including me. I hope they will address it someday.

@bouncepaw oh, I remember this existing on Dekabristov street way back! The voiceover seemed like a silly and janky idea to me at the moment (it still does), but it might be useful on actual road crossings where it can be hard to distinguish the road where the sound is coming from

I hear the heavy footstep of #Inktober coming close. Are you ready? I am certainly not.

@bouncepaw I'm going to give it a go! but I thought it was just like drawing one thing a day, and then I discovered prompts and people talking about preparing in advance, so now I'm wondering if maybe I'd got it wrong. I was planning to ignore all of that though, I bought a new drawing toy and I have a project ready to go to use it, I also ordered a bunch of source materials from the library and found out the big library has a fancy reference book you're only allowed to look at there. exciting

Yandex Mail keeps putting Sourcehut mailing list messages into spam. Well, good thing it's basically the only spam I get on Yandex Mail.

In the beginning of 2020, I had an idea for a fun programming language called #Henlang

> The name has many meanings. First of all, henlang is short for incomprehensible language. Next, hen stands for japanese 変 which means strange. Finally, hen is an animal also known as chicken, and Chicken Scheme is my favorite Scheme implementation.

Find all positive numbers in a list:

list←[3-,2-,1-,0,1,2,3]
list∃!(+?)$
% [1,2,3]

Find some notes here and code: github.com/bouncepaw/henlang

Yesterday I've beaten #Minecraft properly in survival mode for the first time in 13 years or so. The End Poem is cool. Then I was watching the credits. Stopped in the middle when I learned they are hour-long.

The dragon was slain in a multiplayer world that is 3 years old. We wanted to speedrun it in one day, by the way. But there were so many interesting things that distracted us, such as building intricate public transport systems.

Here's to the next 13 years with the game!

Hey folks! Is build.opensuse.org/ super good and reliable? Should I use it to build my stuff? Is it good as a software distribution platform?

My university finally got cut off from Microsoft services due to the Western sanctions. In a weird way, but the students shall finally be free* from their mediocre tech!

* Pirated MS Office will probably be still needed though.

@bouncepaw
Have you ever tried MyOffice suite?

Doing the take-home task for the internship application. Learning the modern techs along the way: Swagger, Postgres, Docker. It's good to have a computer that can handle a heavy IDE, a DB, a browser or two, Telegram, another computer inside (Docker), all while playing music. My previous computer was much more worse at multitasking despite having the same amount of RAM (8 GB).

They better hire me when I finish though. I devoted quite a lot of time already. 8 hours and counting!
