Is there a way to disable the feature in #KDE where wiggling the mouse will make the cursor bigger and bigger until it fills up the entire screen? πŸ˜…

Ben

@spacekookie I don't know, I don't use KDE, but does it have an accessibility settings widget or something? Hopefully it'll be in there.

Everyone should get 2024 as paid leave to finish their personal projects

@spacekookie Shit, I could use a month just to finish arranging and decorating my apartment πŸ˜…

Abi

@spacekookie

not sure which is more unlikely, that i magically get leave to finish my personal projects or that i manage to finish any personal projects despite having a whole year free.

@spacekookie @wtrmt I'm bothered by the imprecision. Via Flaminia for example, gets to the Adriatic at Fanum Fortunem, then it continues to Ariminium following Via Adriatica.

If a product manual doesn't cover common error codes that something can return to you it's not a manual, it's slightly less fancy marketing

"So the Hyperloop, for example, [Musk] admitted to his biographer that the reason [it] was announcedβ€”even though he had no intention of pursuing itβ€”was to try to disrupt the California high-speed rail project and to get in the way of that actually succeeding."

Imagine being a Billionaire shithead who spends millions on a fake tech project because you *checks notes* don't like trains

Played around with some shaders ✨ This could make for some cool music videos visuals.

Is it actually possible to follow a peertube account from another peertube instance at the moment? The only way I see it working is from a mastodon account which is a bit weird...

Eugen Rochko

@spacekookie It is really weird. PeerTube doesn't do user-to-user subscriptions like you'd expect. A whole server subscribes to a whole another server.

Wait what?? Making albums potentially free to download on bandcamp costs me money as an artist?! Wtf

A screenshot of a website: β€˜Your Bandcamp account comes with 200 downloads per month of tracks or albums that you are giving away (meaning You've set no minimum free, or let-fan-name-price with no minimum and the fan enters zero). Once each month, we 1ook at β€˜your download credits, and f you have less than 200 remaining, we bump you back up 0 200. Your next bump is on 4/22/20.

If your download credits drop to zero, your music will still be available, but your free tracks and albums will automatically switch to paid. You can avoid this by either a) buying more download credits for a modest fee by clicking β€˜get more” below, or b) selling music (we add 1.000 credits for every $500 USD in sales) 200 remaining 1000 downloads: $20 USD (2Β’ each)

@spacekookie Hosting your albums for download isn't free for them
