I know #ActivityPub does not exactly have an official holiday, but on January 23rd (2018) the WC3 gave their official recommendation of ActivityPub, which I believe helped it gain popularity amongst numerous social platforms.

So if you can, raise a glass of gratitude to the five founders of the Fediverse (listed in the link), as without them the masses would lack credible alternatives to the major social networks that exist today.

This is a reasonable approach to the “block or do not block Threads” debate. Kudos to @jerry for taking this approach.

I also like what @dansup is doing with @pixelfed’s approach which allows users to undo domain bans on an instance (a feature Mastodon should adopt).

Oh wow! I just realized that #Pixelfed has an #iPad app now! (Albeit in beta but it is still there)

Thank you @dansup! I remember asking #Instagram for 📅years📆 about creating an iPad app, but they just told me to pound sand & be grateful I have an #iPhone app that shows me strangers instead of my friends.

I can hardly wait until the iOS/iPadOS app launches upon the App Store!

The US service is available in:

Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Next year they intend to expand into the rest of the country. This makes a great #Christmas gift too! 😁
