Cyan has made some shitpost-adjacent Myst merchandise for the gameโs 31st birthday. I love itttt (this was @shoomlahโs doing) https://store.cyan.com/collections/limited-time In the 90s there used to be a good comic book store in the basement off the alley behind this building. I learned it was also Steve Purcellโs local comic shop and thatโs how I ended up meeting him (for an interview for my Sam & Max fansite ๐). Early and formative and totally lucky step on my road to having a career in games. A couple of days ago at work we announced the Steam Deck OLED. Itโs available next week (Nov 16) and though itโs got a bunch of great improvements like longer battery life, faster downloads, the star is the ultra-bright HDR OLED screen. The screens are ridiculously bright and vibrant, so we thought it would be fun to use actual Steam Deck OLEDs as lighting sources to light our entire launch trailer. Of course this necessitated building a giant metal orb. First though, hereโs the final spot:

@ja2ke people are saying that the etched screen is taking away value from the OLED screen. What can you say to this people about why their fears are unfounded? @ja2ke I already own two Steam Decks. Please, Iโm begging you, stop making better stuff. ๐ฅบ @ja2ke Cooooooool! (tho can it come to Brazil pretty please ๐ฅบ) Iโve been working with Steve Purcell doing the graphic design for this new release of Sam & Max Hit the Road, which goes on sale Jan 6. Itโs been a dream project come to life to get to do the packaging for a LucasArts game, and it being Hit the Road to boot. The final release should be pretty packed with detail. I canโt wait for people to actually get it. In addition to a bunch of feelies, it should have a lot of never before seen behind the scenes art too, like the ones attached to this post (these in particular might not make the cut since the design is still in flux, but itโs good example content!) Itโll be available as an open edition starting January 6th from Limited Run Games here: https://limitedrungames.com/products/sam-max-hit-the-road-collectors-edition-pc |
