It was AI features of Apple, the company. And the target customer for those features was not you, the iPhone user, but Wall Street. Some of the existing “AI” features aren’t terrible, like some of the suggestions about adding new numbers to your contacts, but I’d rather see those features improved than new ones added “We are committed to overcovering the #fediverse at the verge”, @nilay_patel says here in a segment of their podcast that also covers sub.club. Elasticsearch is going back to the #AGPL open-source #license. They are saying that they can do that now because "market confusion" around Amazon's #Elasticsearch fork has gone away, but no details. We need a new generation of tech entrepreneurs that obliterate the current powers and have actual values. I wonder whether people want to discuss #Brazil / Twitter/X / Bluesky / Mastodon and the rest at #FediForum next week. You recognize a software company that only sells to enterprises when they make up a term, don't explain the term, and then say all over their website how they have the absolutely best software for that term.
