@dansup Orchestrate controversy with a plausible excuse and get people to post screenshots of Burger King everywhere Really excited for FediDB, its something I wish existed when I started Pixelfed. I hope it helps bring fediverse developers closer together and encourages greater compatibility across implementations! (1/6) Was recently contacted by someone who mentioned the trending feature has changed the way they use Pixelfed. (2/6) They find themselves constantly checking like counts and trying to get on the discover trending page by engaging in like-for-like behaviour that is prevalent on other platforms like Instagram. Built a linktree like service for the fediverse. The beta will be rolling out later this week for pixelfed users, will open up for everyone in a few weeks. Every morning I check the Discover section and am blown away by how talented people are. Seeing photos from around the world is also pretty neat! #followfriday #developerEdition ✨ @ariadne - #jejune developer ✨ @marquiskurt - #hyperspace developer ✨ @air_pump - #cryptpad designer ✨ @NicolasConstant - #sengi developer The Pixelfed forum will be launched with the mobile apps and feature a Mobile App Support category for support and to better organize feedback during the beta. Best part is the forum supports ActivityPub, so you can reply to threads without having to register an account! (We'll open source the forum shortly after) I've revised my plans for the Pixelfed mobile apps in light of what Google Play did to Element*. Will be adding some last minute changes before we publish the beta release. * -https://element.io/blog/element-on-google-play-store/ #pixelfed #pixeldev You might notice Pixelfed now displays labels on posts related to COVID-19. We're doing this to combat misinformation by providing a warning label and link to a reputable health organization. Pixelfed did post labelling back in 2020, maybe it’s time to revisit this for other purposes. |
