Thinking of getting a cheap second hand Thinkpad for experimentation, travel and reading/writing on the couch. I need something with
a good battery that plays nice with Linux. But what should I get, any models to avoid? I’m planning to install a super light weight distro. #linux #thinkpad

Thinkpad x220 is a great model.
14 inches. Lightweight.
I put 2 ssd disks and 16gb of memory in it.
If you need more performance, a very good model: the Thinkpad t480.
More powerful processor.
Two batteries provide good battery life.

@balterwenjamin42 I recommend avoiding buying the T44*, this misstep is just a silly experiment by Lenovo. By the way, what’s your budget?
