Japanese Anime/sometimes manga has detailed backgrounds and simplistic characters

Korean manhua has detailed characters and shitty 3d backgrounds

First results of benchmarking - python is 2 times more faster than c++ version and 4 times c version

It's probably related to benchmarking tools not actually doing output (because when actually running the thing it is not that different in speed it prints in), so when python does 1 output after multiplication, continous cout and fprint from c++ and c is making it waste time on trying to say awawa to benchmarking tool.

So probably one could fix this

So I heard about multiplying strings in python...

And made c and c++ programs that output provided string N times where variables provided through cli arguments, even with -h help argument support

And then made simple python version of that and plan to benchmark it

What I am doing? Probably programminst version of боброгейминг (literraly beaver gaming, probably made up term that I heard today that reffers to building crazy quality things in games without any reason to, like maximum efficiency factories in factorio, or gigantic detailed buildings in minecraft)

Random stupid idea: Adding a rule to your website (or just rule for yourself in your own posts) that names of brands should have description in parentheses, wikipedia style.

Like, every time you talk about Apple the tech company, you should call them Apple (tech company), so difference between just apple and brand name would not be in that A is big or small.

Same way you could mark things like Facebook (social network) and Facebook (tech company)

Fediverse basically has UX of older web with UI and features of modern social networks (+federation that allows all of that to have reach comparable to the said modern social networks)

I was really sad after arguing about politics

Then I suddenly saw someone linking GIMP website with article about if you can sell GIMP and felt calm

Like, yes, finally, I got the answer, "Yes, anyone can sell GIMP but don't violate GPL and don't be a jerk". I didn't have this question, but it seems as long as my stupidly complex and undocumented brain is satisfied, I am satisfied :comfy_cirno:

I got an idea for another anime like plot:

Psycological/spy drama with elememts of comedy, about a guy who is actually a spy who meets a girl who he thinks is a spy or informator based on her behavior, but she is actually just a paranoic tech nerd.

The story will follow their life in the big city, where they avoid surveliance cameras, trying to disable public spying devices and help people that are either spy comrades or victims of privacy invasive others.

Misunderstanding comedy will not be a main part of the story, it will mostly be in place to show two different sets of circumstances and reasonings that lead to the same conclusions and simmilar ways of thinking.

Below is a rough idea what cover art for this story could look like:

While writing all of that I completely forgot I put it as romcom genre while idea completely lacking romantic content except for main characters being guy and girl

So as for idea this is more of a psycological/spy drama story with barely noticable elements of comedy

EDIT: Edited OP post to fit this reevaluation of genre

Rewrote nixos config using flakes. (actually pretty easy, just example flake file that imports original config as module in outputs, plus some modifications to replace impure imports)

The issue is, I made it for thinkpad fingerprint sensor drivers that are packaged as flakes, but they only work for variant of drivers that doesn't support password protection for fprintd-enroll, so it is vety insecure and I disabled it and flake-based config I made is pretty much useless for me again

I was bored, so I made an #introduction

So, I am Tired Bunny, a talkative nerd who is interested in Japanese media, especially Anime/Manga, Videogames and Touhou Project.

Very talkative, especially when feeling down or being sleepy/tired. Will respond to you in either Russian or English, posts are usually in English.

I am also a beginner programmer and somewhat casual Linux user. I didn't think much about privacy before, but now I do. NixOS user since recently, I like it here.

So in the end, I post:
- Personal things shitposts
- Nerdy #linux stuff
- #touhou stuff
- #anime / #manga stuff
- Occasionally my small amateur artworks made with #inkscape or something like that
- Occasionally #artspam (artworks that are not made by me, mostly without proper crediting)

I think I am pretty friendly person, but I could mute or block you without warning beforehand if I think our beliefs are incompatible. I do hate pointless conflicts and drama, but have trouble avoiding them.

I believe Fediverse should stay comfy place, but hate block lists for being centralized solution that enforces guilt by association and guilt by non-compliance with such lists.

Actually, I am a bit of pervert, but I don't show it much on fedi, and any occasional age-restricted content you can find on my profile has proper CW

KDE + Librewolf advice, i guess:

If you don't use Firefox alongside Librewolf, symlink librewolf folder to firefox location, it should make krunner search in librewolf bookmarks thinking it's firefox ones
Tired Bunny :bunhdcomfysleep:
To be more precise, symlink /home/$USER/.librewolf to /home/$USER/.mozilla/firefox

Idea:

Mod for minetest (or maybe external app?) that would allow to declare buildings in config file, nix-style

For example, you have built several houses and converted them into such config file. Then you have built street without houses, converted it too but then specified that empty spaces can be filled with contents of external config.

After that, you can quickly generate world with that street and houses, declaring which empty spaces to fill with which houses in config file for world.

Actually, why nixos is becoming more popular lately? The boost in popularity is do big most people started thinking thid distro is very new.
Tired Bunny :bunhdcomfysleep:
Maybe I should try contributing my konsave package to nixpkgs (I didn't find one to ecist before me), but I barely understand what I am doing to be a proper maintainer...

Also, I will probably publish my shell script I use for editing nixos config as addition to my shell scripts repository (+write nix expressions for these old two scripts)
Tired Bunny :bunhdcomfysleep:
Installing NixOS from starting to download installer ISO to finishing building a config adapted from other installation and restoring KDE settings using konsave took about 1.5 hours today

One of my manga favorites just sudenly ended... And apparently, it just was cancelled, last chapter does not even end any major story ark, and it's just sad.

I might even start reading original novel to get the rest of the story, but I am not good enough at english (and no japanese at all) to enjoy it as miuch as I would manga or some book in my native language.

I've been playing a game of trying to set up new spyphone that I cannot root without touching google apps.

I kinda won, but it had it revenge by borking settings app's main setting menu (anything other than that works when launched in any other way, even settings search)
Tired Bunny :bunhdcomfysleep:
One thing I noticed:

Android 11, LineageOS, Material Design 2 - Every app has it's own accent color, colors and shapes are generally bright and distinct, looks nice, even in light mode. Menu above notifications has compact version with icons only, full version has text below the sane small buttons, everything feels compact but buttons are actually hard to missclick.

Android 12/13, crDroid, Material Design 3 - every accent color is replaced with washed out version of random color from wallpaper, everything is very rounded for no reason, light mode looks weird for some reason, everything is a very rounded button or the same rounded plane. Menu feels a lot less compact and focus is on text that is part of large buttons, not terrible, but no compact mode.

Even Material Design 3 apps look brighter and less sad in Android 11. But either way one style does not look that well with another, and a ton of apps are material design 2 compliant instead of version 3, for some reason even older android apps didn't stand out much until material design 3.

Android 11 is so comf :comfy_cirno:

Why did they fuck up android interface so much when they could have just not
