I made a thread on the forum about doing a groupbuy for highly effective masks to stay safe(r) during the Handmade Seattle event. I included a link to my favorite mask and some information about the dangers of Covid and Long Covid. Everyone is susceptible to Long Covid.

I also emailed the Handmade organizer about setting up CR Boxes (DIY air purifiers that are better than commercial ones) & ideally making it a mask required event with free masks at the door.

Merveilles Mutual Aid Bundle *Update*

I talked with some merv members who have done similar community events in the past to get advice and I now feel more confident about moving forward. I’ll share the info and logistics plan to get feedback before announcing a new deadline.

@nix i think you should have a clear definition of what you, for the bundle, regard as merveilles members (just masto folk? slack folk? irc? webring?) and a note on how eligible recipients may opt out of receiving funds if they want/need to

MERVEILLES MUTUAL AID BUNDLE

I’ve had this idea for a Merveilles Bundle where we contribute art and sell it at a “pay what you want” price and have the profits be shared with Merveilles members that sign up for mutual aid. Its time I start it.

If you have any art, games, software, 3D rigs, animation, music, or anything else you would like to contribute into a sort of Zine/Bundle I will organize and sell on itch.io please email it to me at nixoye@protonmail.com

merv.news has been updated to .0.18.1 meaning federation is fixed and apps work with it. The Memmy app for ios is great and it’s in the official app store now
