A few weeks ago, I invited a friend of mine over to give the virtual reality helmet a try. He bought my Rift S in the end.

Today I went to visit him and he let me try out a 3D printer. You can imagine my AliExpress order list now.

Полгода назад я открыл Яндекс Карты, и такой "Вау. Вот это реально хороший UX. Куда лучше чем у гугла, как минимум".

Сейчас же фронтендеры Яндекса, испоганив Яндекс Go до конца, добрались и до карт, и этим пользоваться уже невозможно.

Например, да, когда я хочу что-то найти, мне определенно нужен быстрый доступ к KFC, вкусочке, бургеркингу и новостройкам ПИКа, а история прошлых запросов — нахер её, даже кнопки не оставим. Нормальные категории тоже больше не нужны, ведь в первую очередь тебе нужны салоны красоты.

Они сломали это настолько, что в модуле автомобильного навигатора, где остался старый гуй поиска, секция истории поиска просто в недоумении и считает что ты ничего никогда не искал, даже если прямо минуту назад что-то искал. Я тут вообще не шучу.

Зато да, мы добавили свой ТИКТОК внутрь карт где контент генерирует ЯндексGPT, потому что больше некому.

Нормально работает только версия карт для Android Auto, потому что там регуляции гугла запрещают им заниматься всякой хернёй типа пихать тебе рекламу на пол экрана во время вождения. Никакой рекламы, есть история поиска, очень минималистичный интерфейс. Но думаю скоро доберутся и до него.

@inex лафхак - скачай с просторов интернета (4pda к примеру) версию полугодичной давности. Или попроси у знакомых, кто не обновлялся, с помощью apk extractor скинуть тебе желаемую версию. Я так другу все приложения тинькофф даунгрейднул (сам не смотрел что там, но поговаривают что всё испоганили)

Сегодня я узнал что йота оказывается перестала брать деньги за раздачу безлимитного интернета. Теперь это бесплатно, и не нужно больше паковать трафик в впн чтобы обойти ограничения.

Безлимитный интернет новым клиентам они, конечно, больше не продают. Зато новым клиентам продают опцию безлимитного трафика для VPN протоколов. Что вообще происходит

Checked every open firefox tab, they all were silent. Opened Helvum, it showed that the audio was played by "Chromium" proccess. I didn't have Chromium open.

A minute later, I've realized. It was Steam. Playing the trailer of Apex Legends, without any Steam window open. I didn't interact with Steam in any way that could lead to this o.o

Steam regularly does some weird stuff. Like, randomly opens itself. Or randomly opens a chat with someone even when there were no new messages.

One time, I fell asleep with my PC unlocked. Steam opened a chat with someone jokingly asking me to fuck them. Someone else likely saw this.

social.inex.rocks is now dead-dead, thanks to Hetzner ditching customers with russian residence.

Basically all my services, except for email, matrix and jitsi, are offline right now as I don't have the mental capacity to redeploy everything right now. I've backed up as much as I could (downloading half a terabyte of data when Russia throttles sftp connection to 1.5MB/s is hell) but probably something is lost. It is unlikely that I will host the instance again, unless I emigrate away from the russian repressive laws.

Validate and sign your encryption keys, use end-to-end encryption, folks. You really should do this, as this prevents this kind of attack. You cannot trust the admin, and so, it is your responsibility to manage your keys. Hilarious to say this, but matrix has a great UX around this.

As a disclaimer, I'm saying this as an admin of the matrix instance, and as someone who found and reported an issue in Matrix' media encryption spec several years ago.
