Per the last Steam Hardware survey, Linux usage has grown to 2%, which could indicate more people using a #SteamDeck in general: This week's #SteamDeck Verified/Playable games include some incredible titles like Europa, Vampire Hunters, and the upcoming The Thing: Remastered: Slitterhead is an intriguing and unique horror game with some great ideas in there, but has a bit of stiffness in story-telling. However, it's still worth checking out and is playable on #SteamDeck! A copy was provided by Square Enix for review. An OLED Panel mod for the original LCD #SteamDeck is being made, and it sounds incredible: @steamdeckhq Custom bios just kills this for me... If they ever fold as a company and can't provide a new bios the deck becomes a brick. I never want to risk that. We got the chance to play Dragon Age: The Veilguard a bit early on #SteamDeck thanks to EA sending a key, and we are quite pleased with the results so far. Here are our first impressions: https://steamdeckhq.com/dragon-age-the-veilguard-steam-deck-impressions/ A new SteamOS Beta update was released that improves performance for Metaphor: ReFantazio on #SteamDeck by up to 20%, and while it isn't perfect, there are some noticeable improvements: Carry The Glass got some #SteamDeck support in their newest update, along with VSync and better camera movements: The Frightmare Halloween 2024 bundle from Fanatical has some amazing titles that are great for the #SteamDeck, like DOOM, STASIS: Bone Totem, Dead Island Definitive Collection, and more: Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed got an update with some #SteamDeck improvements, although it is fantastic on Deck already: Only 1 day left to grab almost every Resident Evil game for a cheap, bundled price on Fanatical! (When looking at the grey text/intro) The Steam Scream 3D Sale has some awesome games on a heavy discount, and here are some of our recommendations for ones you should get on your #SteamDeck: Just pre-ordered Dragon Age: The Veilguard! So if you are on the fence and want to know how it is performing, just hold out a little longer. Myst got a new update yesterday that updated the engine for the game, so you can now use HDR on the #SteamDeck OLED: Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max in a wonderful new story, and although the gameplay could be improved, it's worth powering through, even if it isn't amazing on the #SteamDeck.
