Well, here is pure instanity, this time I tried to make Tetris in #Orca

No audio this time, sorry, apparently all of that is too cpu intensive, I wasn't able to record it without xruns.

It is not really finished and I didn't get as far as implementing the tetramino rotation and you can accidentally wipe the right border of the grid, but it's a job for another day I guess. I should probably redo it from scratch too.

@vacuumbeef I've ran out of superlatives to talk about your works, I give up

vacuumbeef

@neauoire I've ran out of my brain cells today with this thing

@vacuumbeef I feel like you're developing an orca-brain, you can look at a puzzle and break it down to 26 opcodes. This is huge btw

vacuumbeef

@neauoire actually you know, it feels like I opened something.. I don't know how to say it, but after that snake patch and especially arkanoid one, feels like I suddenly got to another level. All of that is definitely going to be useful for future musicals works, at least in making patches more animated and fun to look at. Feels veeery good.

@vacuumbeef woah!! How do you control the pieces moving left and right??

vacuumbeef

@narF oh that's another story actually. @neauoire, check it out also. It's on the top right, there is a spot where you place either h (left) or l (right), but it almost instantly gets erased, so to actually move the pieces you need to hold the button to spam the character. So this way I implemented press to control instead of regular counting numbers from one to another. It's laggy though, obviously, far from perfect.

@TodePond well actually I did some experiments yesterday

@vacuumbeef amazing. if you figure it out I'd love to learn how. I'm trying to make sand in 99 different ways for a video

vacuumbeef

@TodePond you mean specifically in Orca? Or overall?

Your youtube channel is cool, though I'm not sure yet what am I watching.

Lu wilson

@vacuumbeef thank you. making sand in anything. so "orca sand" could be one of the 99

Lu wilson

@neauoire thank you, one sand closer to 99

vacuumbeef

@TodePond Oooh cool. I'm not really sure about real sand in Orca. Maybe VERY simplified with no horizontal movement, not sure it fits you.

I really like how your videos are made, cool editing, it's all just works so well with animations and music and talking.
