ngl it’s tricky to do my job in the vision pro
- colors don’t look quite right when mirroring Figma
- context switching between my desktop and an iPad app (Safari) is mentally tiring after a while
- i rely on a lot of desktop apps and having them confined to a window is a shame!

think of Linear for instance. my options are keeping it in my mirrored desktop and flipping between it and Figma/Slack or loading it in iPad safari with all the weird baggage that comes with it.

it’s the same kind of compromises I had to navigate when I tried making an iPad a (more) primary part of my workflow. it’s great until it super isn’t, at which point you get frustrated because of these arbitrary limitations.

as you move into higher tax brackets, the software you use becomes more basic. tim cook does not use blender or vim or a Unix shell. his job is Emails. this is a really good computer if your job is Emails and delegating your calendar to other people.

Mike Beasley

@samhenrigold Another part of his job is probably zoom calls, and this doesn’t look like a very good device for that when you consider how “personas” look.

@samhenrigold also, the higher up the chain you go the less 'work' you do

Connor Crosby

@samhenrigold running into similar barriers while editing video.
