Is there a geographical boundary to the use of plural for the term "software"?
In other words, do "softwares" exist outside of Europe?

@J12t in french, software has been named "logiciel". It would roughly translate as "logic system". |
@J12t in Poland we have 'oprogramowanie' which works the same as English 'software'. Except our term was invented strictly for the purpose of IT and it doesn't have non-IT origins such as 'something that is not hardware and you can't kick or punch it'.
