Gregory's Server@Gargron I miss when android really was an open platform. Android might let you “install” any side loaded app, but the hardware and os is so locked down.
I really wish there was good third option in the phone space. :(

Zoe, SafetyNet and its hardware attestation is a problem. Everything else not so much. Many Android phones still come with unlockable bootloaders. Though, frankly, I personally haven't felt the urge to unlock my bootloader and mess around with root and custom ROMs and Xposed for more than 5 years. Didn't do any of it on my last 3 phones.
