@GhostOnTheHalfShell @RustyBertrand The Roman Empire "weren't quite as destructive" [sic] except for when they were because the Roman Empire wasn't always imperial and was based on unifying Europe against a common Celtic enemy that dated back to the birth of Rome...and that's when they were the Roman Republic. The Saracen Empire took a page out of the early Roman book to expand the way they did despite tall tales of how much brutality it took to do it.
