I'll check if it's an offence here, not sure if it makes a difference if it's private land, but even so, if EV companies put chargers in, it can be denying them a return on their investment, though in this case the charger is free, I think the business is pretty pro-EV, they even had a BYD Dolphin parked just at the entrance, with QR code for more info. We went to their restaurant and had a nice breakfast, and again one could put the case that #ICEing one of only 2 EV spots (and yes they can both work at the same time) could mean they lose a customer and potentially hundreds of dollars income (surf session + meal).
@PaulWay @spellingmistakescostlives tried to report through the local council as they had a number to call to report illegally parked vehicles, and they just hung up on me (was on hold for about 15 minutes to even talk to someone... sigh)... I get the feeling some councils are more pro-EV than others. They didn't even seem to understand the question.
