@forteller there are three and a half reasons I don't bike.

1) I don't have a bike. I could probably get one if I really wanted.
2) I am not very good at riding a bike, but I know this is because I don't ride a bike. A self fulfilling prophecy
2,5) I don't feel safe riding a bike near where I live because there is nowhere to practice and I have to be out in the street with the buses and cars
3) I tried having a kickbike for a while, but would often go somewhere, and then realize I didn't want to use it on my way home, or I would ride it to a place and then take the bus from there and on my way back home, I would be forced to take the same route to go back and get it and bring it home. I have no good solution for this, it just doesn't feel convenient to bring a bike. (I do feel the same way about a car! I did drive a car at my previous job, and would frequently forget about it and have to walk back to get it and bring it back to the office)

@aagot @forteller Was in that situation. Bought a pedelec. Now biking wherever I go. Best decision ever, best spent money ever.

@aagot @forteller It's unfortunate that you don't have good infrastructure nearby, but your city may have plans for providing some - a lot of cities are now. And give an a try!

@benfulton @forteller yes I would love an e-bike, but I am also ✨not rich✨ so if I want any kind of bike I would probably be looking for someone who gives away their kinda broken bike and then try to fix it for free. E-bikes are a pretty big financial investment when I currently am asking my mom for money to make rent. But hey yes sure absolutely, an e-bike would be great.
