@malcircuit What this really needs is for phpBB to take oauth, because only needing one account is what really made discord take off (and no hosting costs, but that just means they're getting covered somewhere else, like your data :3)

@lovestha @malcircuit I know scryfall does this, but I hate it. The reason I hate making a new account, is it means I have to log in to my email lol.

I hate when the email link must be opened on the device to be logged in, it's annoying with multiple devices and browsers.

@RethinkJeff @malcircuit thinking more, I think you were closer with oath, but it should be a central auth for all forums (probably of that software) and there you can either use oath or forum software specific account, and then choose to access forum with one of your configured identities (or spawn a random one for each forum).

A seamless, frictionless way to access "all" forums would be great.

(Forum admins could choose to support multiple such identity providers)
