Gregory's Serverbtw pro tip: your complementary toiletries get thrown out when you check out, even if you leave them completely untouched. it’s a safety thing to make sure your toiletries don’t get tampered with. so you might as well take them and make use of them, otherwise it goes straight to the landfill.

 @thisismissem Hilton is participating here in the US, Marriott is not. They are, however, transitioning to big shampoo bottles in the shower and eliminating the little bottles seen here. Good for the planet I guess but this has become a bit of a hobby for me. What am I supposed to do now? Pick up smoking??   @samhenrigold A few years back, when I heard @MicheleACourt speak once, she talked about collecting the unused toiletries and donating them to your local Prostitutes Collective - they are very useful for people who may not have access to things like that. I do not know, however, if this is a particularly NZ thing or whether similar organisations exist in other countries.  @samhenrigold I must stay at too cheap of hotels, because I’ve definitely seen leftovers in my rooms as well as half used rolls of toilet paper @alloca i’ve been told im like if greta thunberg actually cared. its whatever though, i hear that so often it doesn’t even register at this point |
