i wanted to do a fun goofy lil web experiment. and now look at me. writing endpoints. groveling at the mercy of a fake linux box somewhere in northern virginia. i didn’t want any of this. i thought i could get away with a serverless function or two.

my great grandfather owned a deli in Stamford Connecticut. he produced something of value — roast beef. his descendant produces web apps and is being absolutely demolished by something called Supabase. @grishka I enjoyed not having to think about Ubuntu but Netlify has well and truly crushed those dreams. And now I have to think about gross networking stuff. |
