i wanted to do a fun goofy lil web experiment. and now look at me. writing endpoints. groveling at the mercy of a fake linux box somewhere in northern virginia. i didn’t want any of this. i thought i could get away with a serverless function or two.

my great grandfather owned a deli in Stamford Connecticut. he produced something of value — roast beef.

his descendant produces web apps and is being absolutely demolished by something called Supabase.

There's no such thing as serverless, it's still a server, you just don't see it

@grishka I enjoyed not having to think about Ubuntu but Netlify has well and truly crushed those dreams. And now I have to think about gross networking stuff.
