Fedilab supports a public API call to get a complete conversation (this is the small Target Icon on top of a conversation in the android client app). Fedilab then switches from the local server to the remote server, to see more responses. But I'm not sure if it similar to your question. I tried to find the API endpoint in the documentation. But I found only the `context` endpoint to get ancestors and descendants. 🤔
