@CiaraNi Yes. I would use it to describe a local sandwich place that posts their daily menu as an Instagram story. Therefore to peruse it, I need to take a screenshot or read it with my finger pressed to my phone screen.

@CiaraNi I can understand that they don't have the resources to host/setup/maintain a simple website. Am fine with Facebook/Instagram etc as long as it doesn't require sign-up and the important information is easy to find. Places that have a website and out of date social media is a completely different issue. @seanddotmedotuk Even public pages on Facebook and Instagram are risky, I think, because those kinds of platforms are increasingly locking out even read-only versions for anyone not logged in. But yes, at a minimum, just make the important information accessible for anyone without forced sign-up. |
@seanddotmedotuk I get that smaller local companies don't have lots of resources, but I am amazed that they don't realise that they are excluding custom by not, for example, putting the menu on a basic web site. I think they live in a bubble, forgetting that only the most loyal customers are following their Instagram. Most of us just want the basics - opening hours, contact info, menu, etc. at first glance.
