@RickiTarr @JessTheUnstill @charism8 I would think you'd want witches to be on your side, so they'll conjure up fertility spirits or something. @argv_minus_one @RickiTarr @JessTheUnstill @charism8 I'll settle for a witch (#TerryPratchett style) who understands 'headology' 🙂 @argv_minus_one @RickiTarr @JessTheUnstill @charism8 Having witches on your side is never a bad thing, unless you want to drown us, or something. @Pagan_Animist @argv_minus_one @JessTheUnstill @charism8 I'm imagining running for local office with a Pro-Witch platform now! SAVE OUR CROPS! PREVENT CURSES! @RickiTarr @Pagan_Animist @argv_minus_one @JessTheUnstill @charism8 Dear Madam Witch, I need a potion... no, not one of *those* potions... that allows all who taste it instantly to be able to distinguish lying from truth. "Sure kid, send £4.99 to.... " @RickiTarr @argv_minus_one @JessTheUnstill @charism8 Crops and hexes are two of my best skill sets! @bytebro @RickiTarr don't kid yourself witchcraft trials are coming @JessTheUnstill @RickiTarr @charism8 True. In other news, apparently pols are puzzled why the birth-rate in the so-called 'developed world' is plummeting. @auscandoc @charism8 Yeah, I did pretty good this year, and we wouldn't have made it this far @auscandoc @RickiTarr @charism8 ...when pretty much every rural home had a 'root cellar' and an 'apple store' and a 'log shed', to see them through the cold bits. I imagine that if one was comfortably off enough to slaughter a lamb or whatever for the Solstice/Xmas festivities then one wasn't hurting too badly. Others, not so much, so maybe that's how the thing about inviting people round for food at such times got started... No idea, but it sort of makes sense to me. |
@RickiTarr @charism8 Ope, you had a bad harvest this year for reasons entirely out of your control. Your community can all see how much food is in the storehouse, and do the math, and figure out one way or another 1/4 of y'all aren't going to see the spring unless you get more from somewhere else ...
