To see a post, I must tap 3dots, then "View post". 😔

How can we stop cropping these images in the feed view? Three versions or so ago it didn't do that. Especially now, when it takes two taps to open the post (2nd tap on a screen with slightly mis-sized icons)? I love Pixelfed and at the same time I'm sorry to say this is not an improvement in usability. #StopTheCrop

@42402dot7 We fixed that bug in the latest version 43, can you confirm that is what you have installed?

I'm on v43 on Android. For me the timeline pics are all cropped to the same size, single tapping does nothing, double tapping toggles "Like". I don't seem to be able to zoom the pics to full size at all (it worked in the last version).

Btw. I love "double tap to like"! But I often toggle it off again by accident (because I don't see the icon yet or trying to zoom by tapping once and getting impatient and tapping again). Maybe toggling off should only work on the icon?

@42402dot7 Here is a screenshot of a portrait photo in the latest version, as you can see we have fixed the square crop bug!

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm on the latest version. The screenshots I posted were from the same v.

I sideloaded the APK & updated the existing install. I'll try a clean install later when I have some time (I have to redownload/signature-check again,
I'd rather not rush that). Maybe that'll do the trick? I'll share the results then. I'm just glad to hear it isn't just me with this issue.

While all of this sounds a bit negative, I just want to reiterate: I love Pixelfed!

@pixelfed just installed the latest version and noticed a bug (Android 13, Nothing Phone (1)): every time I try to add an alt text, the keyboard pops up and closes immediately, so I'm not able to add alt text at all.
