@gamingonlinux and that is why sometimes I feel concern to get digital content.

@rotopenguin @pastorinni @gamingonlinux exactly. I will only pay for digital content if there is no DRM. Buying an album in flac format on bandcamp? Fine. Buying something on CD? Fine. iTunes? Hell no. It has DRM that must be circumvented first. Iām fine with streaming services like Spotify though. There is a clear understanding that I get access to a catalog for a monthly fee. There is no illusion of ownership or a perpetual license. @martijn @rotopenguin @pastorinni @gamingonlinux I have bought mp3s from iTunes plenty of times and they don't have DRM, I freely copy them around my devices š¤ @wolfie @rotopenguin @pastorinni @gamingonlinux TIL. I always assumed everything had DRM from iTunes. @pastorinni @gamingonlinux Same. Too easy to deny online content like this. It's better when files are stored offline, preferably in multiple storage devices. |
@pastorinni @gamingonlinux Digital content is perfectly fine and safe and good š“āā ļø
