⚠️ Home feed showing posts from muted/blocked accounts when the post contains a hashtag you follow

We are aware of this bug and a fix will be shipped later today, as a temporary fix you can unfollow hashtags to remove those posts from your feed.

Our apologies!

(Edit: This only applies to instances with EXP_CHT=true enabled, which is disabled by default)

@pixelfed Well, that explains it. I didn't make the connection with followed hashtags.

I was really getting frustrated with my feed being full of content I haven't been able to get rid of.

@pixelfed Is it possible to block/hide posts by hashtag or keyword yet?

Some of the accounts I follow publish a mix of very regular content (that I'm not interested in seeing) and occasional unique content (that I'm very much interested in seeing).

This is a very handy feature on (e.g.) Mastodon for peace of mind and feed management, and I've been hoping to see it on Pixelfed.

@ety That is on our roadmap for the next version!

Unrelated to this bug, I unfollowed all hashtags for now.
It would be good to have a separate timeline for them.
Otherwise I don't see followed accounts between the noise anymore.
